English Wine & Mindfulness

Perched on a bar stool, knocking back an anonymous glass of white wine (and checking your emails with the other) is NOT down time.

Besides the fact that this is an excellent way to induce heartburn, don’t you think you deserve better than this?

English Wine Week (17th – 25th June) is the perfect opportunity to explore some of this gorgeous wines, and to take the time to enjoy them – properly.

Mindfulness doesn’t have to be performed to the sound of whale music, with you on one leg chanting ‘ohhhhmmm.’ No.

You can experience mindfulness by simply making time to stop, chill-out, and focus for a bit. We think the pub is a pretty cool place to give this a try.

Good wine & mindfulness go together like port & cheese.

Choose something brand new to you – like Whitehall Vineyard Bacchus, produced in Wiltshire, and relish every sip.

Pick up a menu. Take a good look at the tasting notes –  elderflower, peach, grapefruit. Seek these qualities with your nose & tongue. Can you discover any others?

Intimately know this wine, and you’ll uncover a hint of fresh cut grass, floral notes. A quintessential English meadow.

Submerge yourself in the experience and we reckon you’ll notice things like never before.

Lots of effort & energy goes into the creation of these wines. Why not grant it (and yourself) the time & attention it’s worthy of?

So, go on. Finish reading, slide your phone back into your pocket, and peruse that wine list once more. Commit to full immersion in your moment and we guarantee you will be a master of English Wine & Mindfulness in no time.

Like any self improvement process it will be hard work, but – with discipline – we’re confident you’ll soon get the hang of it.
